Easter shrinky dinks Apr 29, 2013
By deninne helton Always a great project for kids. Fun for all ages too. Would recommend any shrinky dinks to all family entertainment.

By April I loved shrinky dinks when I was a kid so I thought that this would be a fun project for me to do with my kids. Plus we enjoy holiday decorating and this can be put up year after year. The kids had fun coloring all of the decorations but I recommend this for kids old enough to cut because it is alot of cutting out. Also, they shrink up really small so next year when we have a new baby in the house, it will definitely be put on a high shelf.

8 year old girl and 6 year old boy had a great time making this, and it's actually a very pretty decoration!
Memory in the Making May 24, 2011
By Busy Mom I bought this because I have 3 children and there never seems to be enough eggs to dye for Easter. After dyeing eggs they are always hankering for more. I purchased this to fill that need. They loved this! It was easy to assemble and they loved coloring the eggs and other assorted characters. I laid out tin foil on a cookie sheet and they shrank perfectly. This is an awesome keepsake. They are already asking if we can make one for Halloween and Christmas. We can because they make them for both holidays. I'd love a birthday version so that guests could color and then we could keep and display it year after year.

This is a great little project. My kids are 4 and 2. The 4 year old got a lot more out of it than the 2 year old of course but the kit comes with multiple sheets so I saved a couple to do next year. Everything folds up nicely back into the box so you can store it and reuse it each year. Very cute and a nice learning opportunity in terms of introducing new vocabulary and concepts (shrink, shrinky, dink, dinky, condensed, how an oven works, effects of temp on items, why you poke the hole before baking, etc.) - you can make anything educational with just a little thought and effort :)
