These earrings are more dressy than they appeared online, they really add a tone of richness to the outfits I wear them with. The gold is a nice deep gold colour, and the amethysts are a gorgeous deep purple. When I ordered them I thought I would wear them to work, but they are a little to fancy for my 'business casual' office wear, so I tend to wear them to festive occasions when I dress up a little. They are comfortable and very pretty.

I love these earrings! The amethysts are dark and impressive. The clasps seem to hold the earrings on tightly. I'll bet I'm like many people...with the price of gold, I am buying mostly gold overlay these days. These were a GREAT price.
Just one thing kept them from being perfect: there was NO PENDANT offered, to match these earrings. As someone who likes to buy my jewelry in matching sets, that made it frustrating. I've been looking for months, for a matching pendant.

The first set I received had a cloudy stone but when I notified Amazon, they sent me a new pair overnight and I printed a label to send the defective pair back free of charge. The second pair are simply beautiful. They have a deep purple color and plenty of sparkle. The stones are very noticeable and the setting is well done. They are comfortable to wear and would make an excellent gift.

I needed a birthday gift for a friend, and I thought of jewelry this year. I like these because they have a very expensive look, which is helped by the gold plating. The gemstones are dark and beautiful. The earrings are about a half inch tall, a nice size - not to big and clunky, but not so small they aren't going to be noticed.
I also love this type of clasp. It is a lot more secure than a post or a french hook.
